Linnette James

With a vivid imagination and the ability to put words together that can captivate the mind, combine with a passion for helping, transforming and making a difference in the lives of others. It has been my childhood dream to become an author, poet and a nurse.

In the year 2004, I was able to successfully complete a BSc (Hons in Mental Health Nursing) and embarked on my nursing career within the NHS for the past 16 years.

My first published piece of work occurred in 1996, after entering an American based competition - “The National Library of Poetry” with one of my poems.

I have also been able to write three books of my own, one of which is fictional, and the other two depicting my life stories during its then era.

I have been quite privileged in being able to contribute to academic books within the field of Mental Health Nursing, which has been utilized by both nursing students, tutors and peers.

My greatest ambition and living passion, is to be able to help, encourage, develop and promote the self esteem and well being of others.

I’m currently studying a BA in Theology, with the hopes that this will aid my literary approach in being more holistic.
