Winnie Simpson

Winnie Simpson is the author of the Ann Audrey Southern murder mysteries, Whipped Cream & Piano Wire, and Death and the Social Climber. A Mississippi native, Winnie studied music at Duke University, earned an MFA from SUNY Buffalo, and later attended law school at Emory University. She became a partner at a large Atlanta law firm, focusing on securities litigation and civil RICO before retiring early to northern Michigan. She lives in a renovated nineteenth-century building that once served as a Michigan state asylum. Death and the Social Climber is the second Ann Audrey Mystery.
