Joinel Jeune was born on the island of Great Abaco, in The Bahamas. He is a multi-gifted poet, artist, spoken word artist, community leader and entrepreneur. As a sought-after spoken word artist he has performed at numerous social events, institutions and poetry slams. He published two books of poetry, "Words Of Power" (2017) and "The Last Breeze of Spring: Unfettered Thoughts" (2021). After living on the island of Abaco for most of his life, he relocated to New Providence in 2019 after Hurricane Dorian devastated the northern islands of The Bahamas, mainly Abaco and Grand Bahama. Jeune published an article about his experience of the storm in one of the country's national newspapers, which received rave reviews.
