Gaurav Kumar

Gaurav Kumar, CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CDPSE, CCSK, SABSA (SCF), is currently

senior cybersecurity and privacy consulting executive with one of the world’s largest

management consulting firms. He is focused on building cybersecurity strategies

resulting in business-aligned security programs. Gaurav’s experience spans almost two

decades. He has worked in cybersecurity operations, risk management, compliance and

governance, and assurance roles—his expertise spans across the telecommunication,

retail, high-tech, finance, and health and public safety industries. Gaurav is also a

passionate educator. He is currently an instructor and academic advisor at a top-ranked

international teaching and research university, based in Toronto, Canada, where he

contributed to the development of the Cybersecurity Program. He is also an avid tennis

player and enjoys the outdoors. Gaurav has a master’s degree in information security and

assurance from Norwich University in Vermont, USA. Gaurav lives with his family in
