Rudi Heimann

Rudi Heimann is Vice President of the Hessian State Office of Criminal Investigation, previously Police Vice President of a police headquarters and before that Head of a Central Aliens Department. He teaches criminology, leadership and police operations management at the Hessian University of Applied Sciences for Police and Administration and is a guest lecturer at the German Police University and the Federal Criminal Police Office. He is a member of the board of Plattform e. V. - Menschen in komplexen Arbeitswelten, a specialist author, editor and one of the leading commentators on the police service regulation 100 VS-NfD - Führung und Einsatz der Polizei.

He began his career in 1982 with the former Federal Border Guard as a police constable in the middle ranks. In 1989, after a two-year assignment abroad for Deutsche Lufthansa, he joined the Hessian state police, completed his studies to become a senior officer, was a member of the Frankfurt am Main Special Operations Command until 1999 and, after completing his studies to become a senior police officer, held various management positions in Hesse. His activities also include police leadership in special situations.
