Davy Boy Lawless

Fizzy is my first novel. Before this I had only ever written songs, including a hit rockabilly album,and music for tv shows,radio and video games. I was born in 1961 in a Leicestershire village and grew up in the most colourful and vibrant decades,the 1960s and 70s. I love riding motorcycles,especially my 1973 Fizzy. It's candy gold and in pristine condition just like Dannys.

I never rode mine to Spain though. My other great love is funfairs , Waltzers, Arks,Speedways, and Dodgems. The smell of crushed grass and hot dog stands, the rumble of generators, and the sound of Toots and The Maytals blasting out of funfair sound systems immediately transport me back to those wonderful years and the people and characters that I grew up with.
