Through his two decades running organizations, John Laurito has had a passion for learning and teaching top level leadership. Answering questions like, “What makes the very best leaders so good? How do they influence others (and in some case millions of people) to achieve great things or to unite behind one cause or vision? How can one person have so much impact on the world around them?” Leadership is learnable.
Prior to his leadership success, John battled severe panic attacks for 20 years that had a major impact on both his personal and professional life. Unwilling to share his private struggle with anyone, he battled alone and, through perseverance, figured out the tools and techniques to finally overcome them...a personal victory that he credits to helping unlock his leadership potential. Today, John shares his expertise on stages all across the world and with companies across the globe who want to develop the very best leaders.
As a successful leader himself, John has run several organizations with a specialty around "turnarounds"... leading 4 organizations through major change and transformation. Serving as President & CEO of Concord Wealth Management, the Boston Agency of Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company for 7 years. During this time John led the agency to more than triple the size and led the agency from last place national ranking to #2 in the country. Prior to Penn Mutual, John spent 18 years with Ameriprise Financial in various roles from financial advisor, Field Vice President, and Regional Vice President. He earned the Outstanding Leader Award and Diamond Ring Club honors, through numerous accomplishments including bringing the Hartford, CT office from #100 to #1 in the country under his leadership.
