R. D. Steinert

R. D. (Bob) Steinert is a technologist, humorist, adventurist and an author based in Kansas City, MO. He also is a husband and a father. Writing always sparks his creative side and his family is his inspiration.

Bob originally dreamed up Otter’s Big Dream, his first published book, while rocking his daughters to sleep after story time, he even sang it to them. He formally wrote the book down for the first time during a parents' book reading session at his daughter's elementary school. He was the only parent who brought a book written by himself. Bob's daughters are older now and soon their children will enjoy it in this beautiful form.

Bob's latest book, La Chica de La Chacra, stems from more than a decade of work with the children of El Salvador, particularly with Santa Maria Madre de Los Pobres, a parish in the most challenged urban community in San Salvador. This book is a love letter to the children of El Salvador with hope that this book will help them feel valued, beautiful and loved.
