As a new author, I found it daunting to write about myself. I will give this a good go and keep it short.

I am a designer by day and writer by night. I enjoy reading and writing. I started writing poems as a way to process my strong emotions and feelings towards a woman I met through work. This experience has helped me discover and accept who I really am.

I came out as a lesbian to my family and friends in my late 30s. Publishing my poems was a way for me to accept myself completely. I have always had feelings towards women and had been suppressing it for almost all of my life. This book means a lot to me because it's my journey of finding and accepting myself, and discovering my love for poetry writing.
