Debbie Eckert

Debbie refers to herself as sales lady for Jesus. Her passion is evangelization and prayer. Debbie is driven and focused when it comes to this and she’s all in for the Lord. Debbie is married to her spouse of 47 years Ken, and they have four married children with ten grandchildren who’s ages range from 24 to 2 and one great grandson. Being a wife and mother is her first and most important apostolate.

Debbie, a hairstylist for 49 years, has owned her own business for 40 of those years. Besides her family and business Debbie, has been an evangelist for the Lord within the Diocese of Arkansas. She served as the Executive Director for the Cursillo Ministry in the Little Rock diocese for six years, found the Jesus Bread of Life Magnificat chapter in Central Arkansas and has been the Coordinator for that ministry until March of 2020. She completed four years of training through the Little Rock Diocese to become an Ignatian Spiritual Director. Being a spiritual director is a tremendous blessing in her life. She has spoken at various conferences, Magnificat meals, Life in the Spirit seminars, and has served in just about every capacity in her parish. As a directive from the Holy Spirit, Debbie founded the Woman to Woman retreat program for St. Joseph’s parish. She has been involved in the Charismatic renewal for over 39 years. She is the author of her first book “Hairspray Holy Water And The Healing Hand Of God.” Her salon, known as “Debbie’s Hair and Prayer” is where she ministers daily behind her styling chair. Her desire is to help others see the importance of bringing Jesus into the marketplace. These are Debbie’s favorite verses.
