A traveler, explorer, and adventurer at heart, author Jill Brazier shares her experiences through writing and publishing books. The series, based on the five senses, is directly inspired by the author's real life experience living in a bamboo treehouse above Lake Atitlan in Guatemala, and her real life dog. At the age of twenty, Jill met Doley, a starving little street dog, in the small village of San Marcos, La Laguna. She nurtured Doley back to health, and they spent the next fourteen years together as best friends and travel companions. Jill honors the beautiful land, culture, and people of Guatemala and her special friendship with Doley in this series.
