I came up with the idea for Begriddled in December 2018 after playing around with various thoughts on how I might hide designs in puzzle form.

It took some time before I could make the puzzles quickly enough that creating a collection became realistic, and I completed Begriddled! A New Kind of Puzzle in time for Christmas 2019, and Begriddled! Logic early in 2020.

Those first books were quite experimental but contain some of my most satisfying puzzles, some of which took me days to create, let alone get into book form. "What Goes Round" in the logic book, where I was able to achieve what I suspected was not possible, even as I was working on it, remains for me the most satisfying of all.
