Katie grew up devouring the books by Enid Blyton - the Famous Five, Malory Towers, St Clair's and The Enchanted Wood being her favourites - and it was aged five that she wrote her first story, The Adventurous Four in the Adventure by the Blue Lake (the inspiration isn't a mystery, is it?!). Telling stories has always been Katie's passion - from writing plays as a child, to scripts at university, to eventually taking the leap into being a writer with the release of her first novel, Finding Sophie in 2014.
When she's not writing, Katie runs a small writing hub in Wiltshire, where she mentors new writers, and when she's not doing that she's navigating life as a mum of two teens and a tween inside a noisy, occasionally messy, home with her partner of twenty-years, Austin. Katie loves stomping through woodland with her crazy cocker, being zen inside of neolithic stone circles (or 'being weird and cringe' according to her kids!) re-watching 90s/00s tv shows and going to boy band (can it still be a boy band in their 50s?) concerts fuelled by cocktails with her besties!
Katie has published 9 romance novels and 1 middle-grade kids novel, with book 11, a contemporary fiction novel, on the way. With a mind that is never still, book 12, a Young Adult sci-fy story, has also been pre-planned , after which Katie wants to write non-fiction books around magic, witches and female history (or should that be her-story?).
