Laura Taylor

Laura grew up in a rural community. She did not live near a neighborhood swimming pool, and the closet skating rink or shopping mall were over 30 miles away. Playtime required creativity. She and her sister loved to ride their bikes, pretend they were TV detectives, and perform in their own musical productions. Her favorite activity was playing school with her sister and their friends at the picnic table in their backyard. Laura was always the teacher.

Laura’s love of teaching and learning continued throughout her educational career. She taught elementary school and was an adjunct instructor at a community college. Laura is an author of children’s books and the co-owner of a human services agency. She works with her husband in ministry and serves on multiple boards of directors for organizations in their community. Yet, her favorite title is Grandma.

In her leisure, Laura enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.
