Evan Piekara is passionate about helping professionals achieve their career goals. Since 2018, Evan has worked with Marc Cosentino, the world’s foremost expert in case interviews, to provide practical insights and guidance to thousands of undergraduate and graduate students, career switchers, and consultants from across the globe.
Evan's experience with case interviews and career coaching started as an MBA at Georgetown’s McDonough School of Business (MSB), where he began building a program that emphasized cases and career guidance for social impact. Piekara and Cosentino teamed up to author Case In Point: Government and Nonprofit to provide insider insights, guidance, and case preparation for those interested in mission-oriented consulting, nonprofit, government, and social impact careers. Through global lectures, mentoring, and career outreach, Evan found that he was getting a lot of the same questions and requests for career advice. To provide a one-stop-shop, Evan published Case In Point: Crafting Your Consulting Career, which provides expertise on the nearly 50 most common questions that he has received from professionals looking to advance their careers. This industry guide includes hundreds of hours of lessons learned from informational interviews as well as advice garnered through targeted interviews with nearly 20 expert consultants.
Evan graduated from Connecticut College and serves as an Emeritus Trustee of the College. He joined Teach For America (TFA), where he taught 6th and 7th grade in the South Bronx for 4 years. During this time he earned his Masters in Education. Wanting to instill change on a more systemic level, Evan attended Georgetown’s MSB to earn his MBA and specialize in change management. As a career switcher entering consulting, he has advised countless professionals on how to make this transformation. He was a key figure in the launch of BDO’s Public Sector consulting practice, leading many recruiting and internal infrastructure efforts while directly leading client delivery and growth. Evan supported Salesforce's change management practice delivering technology transformation efforts to government and nonprofit clients. He launched the change management practice at a boutique consulting firm specializing in AI. Evan currently heads up the Change Management Practice at Nestlé, overseeing the most complex enterprise transformation efforts. Evan lectures globally on change management and social impact.
Additionally, Evan leverages business for social impact by serving in leadership roles on nonprofit boards. He lives in Washington DC with his wife and daughter.
