Ken Lenz

Kenneth P. Lenz, Ph.D., has served for over twenty-five years in church ministries and as a chaplain. He has also served on the religion and Bible/theology faculties of several colleges. Courses Ken has taught include “Understandings of Religion,” “History of Christian Thought,” "Survey of the New Testament," and “New Testament Epistles,” among others. He has also taught writing-intensive courses in literature and composition related to our "Western Heritage."

His earned Ph.D. included an emphasis in the Eastern church history and liturgy, and he excels in the area of hermeneutics (i.e., biblical interpretation). Ken and his loving wife, Helen, have also enjoyed music ministries and have three grown children: Carrie, Evan, and Bryce.

A̲ ̲P̲e̲r̲s̲o̲n̲a̲l̲ ̲w̲o̲r̲d̲ ̲f̲r̲o̲m̲ ̲t̲h̲e̲ ̲a̲u̲t̲h̲o̲r̲:

Thank you for your interest in the books I've written. I had never planned to become an author, but in my reading and research on certain topics in recent years, I became very concerned over some prevalent misunderstandings of God's Word. Those misunderstandings included such important issues as: biblical salvation, church ordinances (also referred to as "sacraments"), and Christ's "𝑰 𝑨𝒎" statements that teach of Him being God in the flesh--who then went to the cross to bear our sins.

Unlike many authors, my goals do not include earning money from book sales. Rather, my ultimate goal is to 𝒈𝒍𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒇𝒚 𝑮𝒐𝒅 through an accurate teaching of His Word, so that you may understand and apply God's Word in your life. Therefore, the prices for my books are low cost so as to be available to any reader (often listed for 99 cents or offered for free). You will not be disappointed.

A̲ ̲Q̲u̲e̲s̲t̲i̲o̲n̲ ̲W̲a̲s̲ ̲A̲s̲k̲e̲d̲:

What are your goals in offering such books?

The three goals I had posted in my home office are for my writings to be “clear, concise, and convincing.” I should also like to assure any reader that my research and writings are bathed in prayer and meditation on God’s Word, relying on the Holy Spirit’s illumination of the inspired Word. My objective is always to arrive at what I call the “A B C’s of interpretation”: being accurate, biblical, and consistent.

Ultimately, my goal in offering the books I’ve written is to 𝒈𝒍𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒇𝒚 𝑮𝒐𝒅 and make an impact in the understanding and receiving of His Word––first in the lives of the reader, and then beyond that, in the Christian community, which I have served as a pastor, teacher, and chaplain.
