Author’s Statement
After teaching in technical education and in higher education at lecturer, senior lecturer, professorial and deanship levels, James went to the World Bank and worked in the Asia region, including China, and Francophone Africa. He has held Visiting Professorships in Austria, Germany and the United States. He is the author, editor or co-author of numerous books on education, human rights and cultural diversity. He has also written many articles and policy papers for international organisations. After retirement he worked for the UK government as the first British technical assistance in post-genocide Rwanda.
James is passionate about family, reading, gardening, hiking and travel. He and his wife, Margaret Ann, live in the West of England.
