David Farren

Born in Ledbury, Herefordshire, I am the second of five children who grew up in Blackheath, London. I later settled in Kent with my wife and family.

My early career was in Financial Services, but I subsequently moved into supporting adults with learning disabilities. This was far less lucrative but certainly more personally rewarding. I have drawn inspiration for my writing from my children and grandchildren, and many other aspects of family life. I see my own attitudes and sense of humour in many of my poems.
