At the tender age of 17, Lindsey Oaks informed her parents that she
would be moving 500 miles away to pursue a career competing
horses as a professional upon graduation from school even though
she'd never competed in a regulation competition!
Over the next decade, Lindsey would learn how to become an
entrepreneur the hard way again and again. Her belief that proving
herself as a top competitor carried her through a decade of losses in
her business while chasing top finishes in competition.
Lindsey hit rock bottom after needing to borrow the $100 entry fee to
the biggest, toughest competition in the northern hemisphere,
competing at the international level. Being good at her job wasn't
earning her a booming business. She stopped chasing qualifications
and went to work learning the art of marketing.
After throwing lots of spaghetti at walls to see what would stick, she
developed a framework that consistently brought results for her
businesses and other service-based businesses.
Lindsey now lives in the Chicago suburbs with her favorite model: her
dog Leroy. She spends her time teaching "horse-crazy kids" (and
adults) to communicate effectively with 1000 lb. horses who don't
speak English and creating strategies for coaches, consultants, and
influencers to communicate with the world. Her clients describe her
as a coffee-addicted, high-energy smarty-pants, who tells stories to
teach lessons.
