Channing L. Crisler

Channing L. Crisler, Ph.D., is Professor of New Testament at Anderson University (SC). He is a New Testament scholar and member of Studiorum Novi Testamenti Societas (The Society of New Testament Studies). His research interests include NT Intertextuality, Pauline Theology, and Early Christology. He is the author of A Synoptic Christology of Lament (Lexington), An Intertextual Commentary on Romans, 3 Vols. (Pickwick, 2021–2022), Echoes of Lament and the Christology of Luke (Sheffield Phoenix 2020), and Reading Romans as Lament (Pickwick, 2016). He is also the co-author of The Bible Toolbox (B&H Academic, 2019) and the coeditor of Always Reforming (Lexham, 2021). He is the 2021 recipient of the Michael Boles Excellence in Teaching Award at Anderson University.
