Molly Godfrey lives in Easton, Pennsylvania with her husband, John, and two sons, Ari and Kelly. Since writing this book she began a small business, LEARKE, in the historic district of the city in which she resides. Through her business, when she is able, she supports mental health awareness whether it be through donations to NAMI or simply speaking up about her own struggles.
She is a graduate of Moravian College where she earned a B.A. in Psychology. She is a mental health sufferer. She found it imperative that a book without medical jargon and clinical descriptions be written to give the most accurate depiction of what it is genuinely like to live with a mental illness like obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD). Although not a psychologist, psychiatrist, or other mental health professional, being a sufferer gives Molly a unique perspective on this illness in a way that cannot be described by a non-sufferer. Patrick Price, an editor, thought the no-holds-barred perspective and self-effacing humor made for a fascinating and successful read. Her compelling memoir will leave you further enlightened on an often-misunderstood illness.
