Dave Closser

Dave has been curious and creative since childhood. He has always had a passion for designing and making things. As a child he would repair his mom’s washing machine and install stereo speakers for his dad, to see if he could. He built numerous tree forts, a skill he would later use as an adult to build custom homes. He holds a US patent for a unique inline skate. He has spent many years in the building industry and as a designer in the high-tech industry. Along the way he earned a degree in mechanical engineering. At present, he finds himself designing and building as a custom woodworker. He spends much of his spare time in nature trying to capture the natural world with his camera. His passion to create is now drawing him to the written word. Approximately 25 years after he started making up bedtime stories for his son, he is writing those stories down and bringing them to life in illustrated children’s books. Farmer Brown, Tree and Claire the Curious Cow have all been published in 2021, with more on the way.
