Mary Nolan Brown is a native of Florida whose family goes back five generations in Fernandina on Amelia Island. She and her husband Don currently live on Wilmington Island on the coast of Georgia with their two rescue cats George and Gracie. Mary attended the Unversity of Texas at Arlington, Florida Junior College, and Savannah State University. Her articles and photographs have appeared in the Islands Closeup section of the Savannah Morning News.
Picketing The President was selected for the 2022 Amelia Island Book Festival and Expo Authors in Schools Program, and read to students in the AP History class at West Nassau High School in Callahan, Florida. Recently Picketing The President received the 2022 CPA EVVY Silver Winner Award for Young Adult 14-18.
Mary's next book Trouble In Texas, a coming of age adventure, will be out in late 2022. A sequel to Picketing The President follows.
