Robin Carpenter

Robin Carpenter is the author of The Feather Birdhouse or Birds On The Move. This is the first in an anticipated three-part series to entertain kids during tough times and encourage them to grab a sketchbook, go birdwatching and care about the environment. She frequently asks, "What's in your birdhouse world?" noting that it's tough to be a bird, and "when you learn about birds you discover yourself."

Robin holds an M.Ed. in Education Technology from the University of Arkansas, and is interested in helping educators and parents teach children to navigate through life in a constructive way and maximize their choices in the real world, without becoming cynical or bitter.

She's worked as a public servant in the U.S. Navy and The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services agency (USCIS), as an instructional designer for the Texas Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP), and in private industry as a career consultant. She owns and operates Helen's Place LLC, helensplacenet.com, a career and educational materials company in Dallas, TX focused on helping people in transition.
