Mabel Moyano

Mabel Moyano studied art at the Escuela de Bellas Artes, in Buenos Aires,Argentina, and graduated as an Art Teacher. Later she studied at the University of Miami, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Education, with a major in Art.

She had the oportunity to study watercolor painting with the illustrator of the Botanical Gardens in Berlin, Germany.

In Berlin, she discovered the magic of teaching watercolor painting to children.

Back in Miami, she taught in Miami-Dade Public Schools for 20 years. She taught English to speakers of other languages,Spanish, and Curriculum Content in Spanish. For these positions she studied at Florida International University (FIU), securing several certifications and finally a Master in Bilingualism.

In FIU she met interesting people who created a poetry workshop that lasted many years. For several years they gathered at Dr Florence Yudin's apartment, who surprisingly was one of the group. During these years, Mabel wrote many poems and started writing stories.

She taught painting at several Adult Centers in Miami.

She was a member of the Miami Watercolor Society and participated in their exhibitions. She has exhibited in Art Miami and New York Expo.
