Archie E. Anderson

Archie Anderson is a native of Alberta, born in Saskatchewan, who spends most of his adult years on the Pacific coast of Canada.

When this 22 year old and his best friend Jack start out on their first adventure, they have no idea what's in store for them in the six years to come.

Those years will be about more than the usual uncertainties of youth. They will be perilous and absolutely decisive.

"Future years may bring greater thrills and more pleasure but they can never hold forth the same feeling of explorers plumbing the unknown..." Archie writes on the eve of those six years, not truly realizing how prophetic his words are about to become.

Archway: Six Year Book of Dreams (two volumes) recounts how one young Canadian copes with the human side of war while serving in the RCAF and RAF around the world.

ARCHWAY is of special interest to people: 1. 22 to 28 years old who have or do not have personal experience with a war; 2. who remember or don't remember being that age; 3. who find themselves in a uniform, whether by choice or not; 4. who are separated from loved ones by war; 5. who are losing loved ones to war; 6. who are supporting or opposing war; 7. who are allies of the human side of war; 8. who have their lives put on hold for six years due to circumstances beyond their control; 9. people losing their youngest years, forever, to war.

Archway: Life Before Dreams is a prequel and sequel to Archway: Six Year Book of Dreams. Readers find out more about what happens to the author before and after war.

The author writes poetry for more than 70 years. Archway: Lifetime Rhyme (three volumes) includes them all. Other volumes are selections of certain poems, including Archway's Valentine Love; Archway's Christmas New Years Rhymes; and Archway's Garden Rhymes.
