Stephanie Koonar, MBA, BA Psychology, is a marketing professional, academic, career coach and team-building facilitator.
A community connector with strong marketing and business development experience, at the international, national and regional levels in a variety of sectors such as telecommunications, wine and spirits, market research, experiential marketing, non-profit marketing, and post-secondary education (teaching and administration).
Stephanie has experience working with international teams that were based in Dublin, Milan, Guadalajara and London.
Stephanie teaches marketing management courses to undergraduate and post-degree college students, having taught over
4,000 students.
With a focus on supporting students as they transition to the workplace, she is involved in many initiatives that help students build their experience and build their network. As the former Assistant Chair, External Relations for the Langara School of Management, she was responsible for strengthening partnerships with community organizations, businesses and leading industry associations to increase opportunities for students and connect to the community. Stephanie is the Greater Vancouver Board of Trade Mentor-of-the-Year, 2018 and the Teaching Excellence Award winner, 2018.
Stephanie has developed and taught many courses and programs and was most recently part of a multi-university team
researching ways to support employers to attract, hire, and onboard students from international pathways. She has championed the building of intercultural competencies for all students while in the role of Intercultural Engagement Consultant.
As Co-Founder of PeerSpectives Consulting Company, Stephanie and her business partner empower purpose-driven
individuals and organizations to be their best through facilitating team-building workshops and one-on-one coaching programs. Stephanie is a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach.
As a child, Stephanie emigrated from England to Canada, grew up in Ontario and now enjoys living and working in
beautiful Vancouver, British Columbia, with her husband and two young adult children.
