Christa Wells is an American singer-songwriter, poet and facilitator based in Nashville, Tennessee, with over 20 years experience in the music industry. She has penned hit songs for artists such as Natalie Grant, Plumb and Ellie Holcomb and collaborated with countless others and was named GMA Songwriter of the Year in 2006.
As an independent artist, Christa has released seven solo albums, developing a signature sound that is fresh, soulful, and enduring. Her 2018 album Velveteen chronicles her journey through suffering, singing relentless hope across the wide spaces of loss after losing her home and marriage. With Pacific, released in 2020, she celebrated the sense of aliveness discovered in the process of healing. Her most recent album, Redwood (2023) sings of paying loving attention to the broken world around and the worthy soul within.
