John J Spitzer M D

John J. Spitzer, M.D. is a native of Salem, New Jersey. He moved with his family to Cali, Colombia, South America at the age of six and finished elementary and high school while learning Spanish as a second language. He returned to the United States and attended Kalamazoo College for undergraduate studies, University of Illinois College of Medicine and then the University of Chicago Children's Hospital for pediatric training. He is a practicing pediatrician in private practice and is also a clinical assistant professor at Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He lives with his wife Anne and has two young adult children. He enjoys running, playing soccer and reading.
