Michael O'Brien

Michael O’Brien, a graduate of the University of Missouri’s School of Journalism, has worked as a communications professional in the financial services industry for more than three decades. His experiences have taken him from copywriter to creative director, entrepreneur, brand manager and political advocacy specialist.

Welcome Home, Michael’s debut novel, was inspired by the lives of several relatives and friends. He brings his journalistic acumen to crafting the story, personally visiting many of the places featured in the novel to capture their color and vibrancy within the narrative.

Michael is a lifelong resident of St. Louis. He is married and has two grown daughters.
