Daniel J. Troup

Daniel J. Troup is a writer, blogger, and retired business executive whose work explores retirement, identity, purpose, family, and the challenge of finding meaning after a successful career.

After more than thirty years in sales, marketing, leadership, and career coaching, Daniel retired at age fifty-seven and began writing about the questions many retirees quietly wrestle with: Who am I now? What comes next? And how do I build a fulfilling life when the scoreboard of career achievement is gone?

He is the author of "Selling You: The AdvantEdge Job Search Process" and creator of his blog "The Sunny Side of 57." His forthcoming book, "A New Game Without a Scoreboard: Reflections on Identity, Purpose, and Acceptance in Retirement," explores the challenges and opportunities that emerge when achievement no longer defines our days.

Daniel lives in Central New York with his wife, Sue, and their dog, Rigby.
