Scot Noel

Scot has always written Science Fiction and Fantasy Fiction. Indeed, from the moment he learned to scribble in cursive, he began to split his time between playing with toys and writing tales of their plastic adventures. In time, he went on to earn a degree in English and to make his living via the keyboard.

Scot has had stories published in Pandora, Strategy Plus, and Tomorrow Magazine and his short story, “Riches Like Dust,” was selected for the Writers of the Future anthology, Volume VI in 1990, becoming the springboard for a career in computer game development as writer, project manager and voice director for several award winning games. He is now Publisher and Editor-in-Chief for DreamForge Magazine.

From 1994 through 2001, I worked as writer, voice director, associate producer, and project manager for a computer game company at first known as Event Horizon Software, and which later gained fame as DreamForge Intertainment.

In 1999, my wife Jane founded Computres Made Easy, Inc., which became the family business. 22 years later, the company is known as Chroma Marketing Essentials and has won awards in web and software development.

Then, in 2019, we also founded DreamForge Press, LLC and started publishing DreamForge Magazine.

Why a new website and a magazine?

The simple answer is this: in fiction and the world in general, we’ve seen the novelty of dark and grim perspectives grow to a commonplace expectation. Everyone, it seems, assumes the world has already gone to hades in a handbasket and a good apocalypse might be what’s needed to freshen it up.
