I have always enjoyed writing short stories, but never felt I was good enough to publish. But now? It's so easy to self-publish and hold a real-life copy of a book you wrote in your hands! That, combined with free time during COVID, was the push I needed to just do it. I like to write stories I would want to read, so they vary wildly in tone and genre: sometimes horror or sci-fi, but occasionally literary drama. Or attempts. You see, when you self-publish you don't need an editor. The only people that I have heard comments from like me "as a person" so it's unclear if they actually like my writings. I think... they might.
