Michael Bourne

I am the author of two novels, We Bring You an Hour of Darkness from DoppelHouse Press in October 2025 and Blithedale Canyon from Regal House in July 2022. I'm a contributing editor for Poets & Writers Magazine and write for The Globe and Mail, Salon, The New York Times Magazine, and The Economist, among other publications. I've published widely in literary magazines including Tin House, The Southampton Review, and december.

I grew up in Northern California and now live in Vancouver, British Columbia.
