Barbara Hall

My name is Barbara Hall but I go by my nickname, Barbie. I am a daughter, sister, wife and mother of two wonderful children. I have to be honest, when I started writing it was just a hobby for me. I now love writing because it’s my outlet and my way of being able to play make believe without people judging me. My imagination is how my character, “SISTER Goose” was born. When I’m “Sister Goose”, I dress the part with my headwrap and glasses-it’s my alter ego.

Just in case you’re wondering where the name “Sister Goose” came from. I’ve always loved nursery rhymes and fairytales, so that’s how the name “goose” arrived and “Sister” is my way of always remembering that I’m a BLACK queen. I also use the term “Sister” because it’s always used in the church and I am a woman of God first. I’m currently a Minister and Prayer Warrior for Promises Church in Philadelphia.

I recently wrote and self-published my first book, “Bless This Mess Ruth”, which is a Christian Fiction book. I use my pen and my writing as my ministry. Besides being an author, I’m a Character Coach, I teach authors how to create characters and bring them to life.

I know I’m a person with many hats, but I will continue to use everything that God gives me to teach others!
