J. CEDERS discovered her calling as a storyteller after her first traditionally published work in her native South Korea. Despite the immense challenge of transitioning to writing in a second language, her passion for sharing intricate narratives led her to pursue her craft in English. With a background in law—having studied in both Korea and her adopted home of Australia—she spent years in the legal profession before dedicating her focus to fiction. This unique perspective allows her to weave themes of justice and complex contracts into her high-stakes thrillers. Based in Brisbane, she lives with her mother and two cherished companions: a dog and a cat. When she isn’t at her desk, she is likely found in the garden, the kitchen, or lost in a book
