Emma Whitehall

Emma is an author, bookseller and introvert from the North East of England.

Her stories have been published in anthologies and magazines in the UK, USA, Ireland and Mexico, and she has performed her stories in various pubs, cafes, radio channels and heritage centres in the North East. She writes fun, emotion-driven fantasy, with characters that you’ll want to take for a coffee. Or wrap in a blanket. Or both.

In 2018, Emma created and edited Sisterhood, an anthology of women’s fiction which raised over £300 for Newcastle Women’s Aid. Her YA novel CLOCKWORK MAGPIES was longlisted for the 2020 Times/Chicken House Children’s Fiction Competition.Emma also writes short stories featuring Billy The Silly Spider for children 5 years and up, which are available on Amazon.
