Nicholas McKie

Nicholas McKie is an Associate Professor and Professional Certified Coach with the International Coaching Federation (ICF), working with individuals, teams and organisations all over the world to unlock their leadership potential and enhance the quality of educational practice.

The Founder and Director of Persyou, Nicholas specialises in executive leadership coaching and development with leaders across the education sector and beyond.

Nicholas’s career path has been rich and diverse, starting as a professional musician before entering teaching in the UK and then internationally, rising to School Principal and UK School Inspector. He has worked in schools in Japan, Egypt, China and the US as well as in the UK working in both state and independent sectors. His experience gives him a unique perspective on leadership in a range of settings, which he has pursued through his coaching work.

Nicholas combines coaching and leadership development with his role as an Associate Professor at the University of Warwick, UK. With his wealth of overseas teaching experience, Nicholas leads on international education programmes, having developed and established Warwick’s inaugural PGCE international course as well as lecturing on the local PGCE programme.
