Michael F. Ryan is a longtime journalist and editorial writer, frequent speaker, and author of the international novel The Last Freedom.
His award-winning work has appeared in newspapers and magazines since the 1980s, and he has appeared on NPR’s All Things Considered and PBS NewsHour, as well as numerous television and radio broadcasts.
Michael has made a decades-long study of civic engagement and its decline. Following years of editorializing on America’s greatest strengths and challenges, he wrote a pocket-sized book called 225 Ways to Save America, later updated and retitled What You Can Do For Your Country.
