Francisco Raúl

Francisco Raúl Arencibia Pardo (Havana, Cuba, 1961). Known in literary circles as Francisco Raúl, he is a writer, engineer, Doctor of Philosophy in Projects, Associate Researcher, and peer reviewer for Minciencias, Colombia.

With around ten literary titles and more than two hundred published short stories, he has built a career spanning creative writing, scientific research, engineering, and university teaching. As a professor at the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture at the University of Pamplona, he combines educating future generations of engineers with research projects, scientific publications, and knowledge dissemination.

In addition to his experience coordinating projects and serving as editor of the journal Engineering, Sustainability and Society, his academic publishing career includes the four-volume collection Advanced Production and Operations, published on Amazon. The series explores the evolution of production systems, quality, artificial intelligence, sustainability, and the organizations of the future.

Convinced that literature and science do not belong to separate worlds, he continues to explore both with equal curiosity. And, as if having more than twenty-four hours in a day were one of his secret talents, he still finds time to write, conduct research, care for his family, and share his home with two cats, a dog, a fish tank, and two hamsters who, undoubtedly, demand their own share of attention.
