Ericsson Marin, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at the California State Polytechnic University, Pomona and the director of the Cyber Adaptive Learning Systems Laboratory (CALSys Lab). His research interests are in the proactive cyber-threat intelligence domain, where techniques from artificial intelligence, machine learning, and social network analysis are applied into cybersecurity to predict future cyber-threats against organizations. Dr. Marin has authored an excellent record of publications, including one of the first books written about malicious hacking on the darkweb. His research work has been acknowledged with best paper and best presenter awards, travel grants, and scholarships. He also has had an impact in industry, presenting at cybersecurity industry and federal agencies conferences/meetings such as ONR, ISC2, and FBI, among others. Dr. Marin holds a M.S. in Computer Science from the Federal University of Goias, Brazil (2013) and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Arizona State University (2020).
