Ed Canto is not your typical author, in fact, some may say he’s not an author at all. And they’d be right. More of a storyteller of life, Ed is the product of the ‘70s growing up in the greater Boston area. Proud of his street “smahts” and his inability to pronounce his “ahs”, he learned from an early age that respect is earned, and in more ways than one.
So why did this “nonwriter” write a book?
He felt it was finally time to stop running from the ghosts of the past. At age fifty-one, this is the first time he will ever tell his true story. Ed hopes that by reading it, others will realize that no matter how dark things may seem, there is always a light if you know where to look.
A man of many careers: police officer, tractor/trailer driver, business owner, chemical account manager, fork truck operator, motor coach operator, driver’s Ed instructor, logistics technician, shipping/ receiving supervisor…Ed’s motto is “Master your craft”, and try to be the best no matter what you do.
Ed now lives in Nashua New Hampshire with his beautiful wife and daughters, along with their 110lb Bernese Mountain Dog. When he’s not spending time with them, you can find him on the tennis court trying to pull off a game-winning “tweener”, or at a local coffee shop laughing with a friend.
Ed believes that everyone has a story to tell, and you don’t have to be a writer to tell it.
