Jill C. Baker

I grew up in a small town in New York State where I wrote a weekly newspaper column and crafted poetry during my teenage years. After graduating from Boston University with a degree in Communication, I went to California to turn my love of words and pictures into a career. Over the years, I've worked in film production, newspaper/magazine/web promotion, and for a digital publishing provider. But like many, I had a book idea sleeping in my desk drawer -- until I did something about it. What’s resulted is a series of cross-genre novels designed to provide intelligent, entertaining escape – a mix historical/literary fiction, time travel romance, psychological suspense, and modern mystery. I draw heavily from places I've been, people I’ve met, and research that has intrigued me. To this, I try to add imagination and heart.
