Dr. Derek Cunningham

The hardest thing an author can do is to write about oneself. Yep, authors live to create worlds that stir people’s imaginations, but in my case, I am just the story teller. I'm not important.

My only interest is to try to recover the past, but you guys are stubborn and want me to know more about my background.

So, I come from just outside Glasgow, and apart from rewriting the entire history of the world in what I hope is fun, novel ways, I am a writer for IbroxNoise.co.uk, which is a fan websites for Rangers, the best team in Glasgow, and in 2022 almost Champions of the Europa League.

OK, I think I just alienated half of Glasgow with that comment...

Perhaps I should try something safer?

The path that led to the discovery of the Babel Texts (a Stone Age text that was used worldwide) came about by accident.

While I was hiking in the hills near my home, in Scotland, I happened to stumble across some linear lines that were carved on the ground near Old Kilpatrick, which sadly were destroyed when a forest was planted over them in the 1990s.

Then I observed some other ancient carved linear geometric patterns in British caves, and I knew form my woodworking days that these grid-like patterns were not something that could be easily carved in just a few minutes.

So, I became curious, and I began to think of ways to study these mysterious lines in a more scientific way, and one thing led to another, until I found it was possible to offer a new theory that suggests there is a phonetic translation that has long been hidden within these ancient geometric lines.

Far from being ancient doodles, drawn by a bored restless child, I now believe that these ancient lines are an archaic form of text. A text that served as the basis for the oldest ancient linear texts in Mesopotamia, China, and the more recent Ogham linear texts found in Ireland.

In my work you will find the angles of these lines can be linked to astronomy, and through comparing the structure of both ancient and more recent texts the angles of the lines are then linked to specific vowels/consonant combinations. It is also found that there is a common thread through many ancient linear languages, with the same angles linked to the same phonetic sounds, in all regions around the world.

For many, the most important result is this new data suggests The Bible was correct. With a single common Stone Age language, it appears the world did use one language (or to be more precise one written language), and also one speech (one spoken language), and this language was linked to astronomy, a link that joined Earth to the heavens by lines. Astronomical lines that went straight up, to the sky...like a pillar, or a tower.

Perhaps the only reason why I was able to discover the ancient Babel Texts is I am stubborn.

When I know there is a mystery, or a story that has been left untold, I feel driven to try to uncover the answer; and I just knew that the standard archaeologist's response, which was these Stone Age lines were just doodles, just did not explain the work and the time involved in creating them; and it was also far more fun to try to solve the hidden meaning behind these lines than to try to solve the Times crossword puzzle.

Actually, I've never finished a Times crossword puzzle.

See, you did learn a lot about me.

And as a bonus I sometimes eat food, and I've been told I am getting older.

So, I think that should satisfied all my fans out there, who have waited so long for this major reveal.

And that's another task complete.

…..what do you mean my fan outreach could be better?
