Les Fehmi

Les Fehmi, Ph.D., received his doctorate from UCLA and did his post-doctoral work at the Brain Research Institute at UCLA. Following that he was an Assistant Professor at the State University of New York at Stony Brook and a founding member of the Biofeedback Society of America (now AAPB). Currently, he is the Director of the Princeton Biofeedback Centre, LLC, in Princeton, NJ. For more than 40 years he has conducted research and maintained a clinical practice in the area of attention and EEG biofeedback. He developed Open Focus™ training and specializes in multi-channel, phase synchrony neurofeedback. His work is documented in his two books, “The Open-Focus Brain,” and “Dissolving Pain,” as well as in articles posted on his web site, www.openfocus.com.

Dr. Fehmi’s work in attention training has application in teaching the dissolving of pain and the remission of stress related disorders. He has served as a consultant to the Harvard Medical School, the Veterans Administration of New York, and the Kane-Miller Corporation.

Well-known in the area of peak performance training , Dr. Fehmi has been a consultant with the the Dallas Cowboys, the NJ Nets, the Princeton University Women’s Tennis Team, the Olympic Development Committee for the training of middle and long distance runners, and the National Association of Speed and Explosion.

For many years he has worked with business people in the private sector and performing artists who are interested in peak performance in their fields .

Les Fehmi passed away on June 24, 2021. His wife, Susan Shor Fehmi, will be continuing his work.
