Sarah Maizes

Sarah Maizes is an award-winning children’s television producer, family entertainment executive, lifestyle and humor writer, and former stand-up comedian.

She is the author of several award-winning books for children including "On My Way to the Bath” (A Children's Book Council Best Picture Book of 2012), "On My Way to Bed" (A New York Times Editor's Pick) and On My Way to School" (Starred Kirkus Review). Her most recent picture book, "ATTICUS CATICUS" (Candlewick) was released 2021 and received a Starred Kirkus Review.

Somewhere in the process of writing her first parenting humor article and publishing her ninth book, she became a public speaker, television and radio guest. She has given talks to audiences large and small on the subjects of writing, parenting, and reinvention, and has appeared as a guest on the TODAY SHOW, KTLA, CNN, NBC, and NPR’s “Tell Me More.”

Currently, Sarah lives in Los Angeles with her husband, three kids and two infinitely easier, cats.
