Michael E. Davis

Hi. My name is Mike Davis. I love life, laughter, and people. I also love food, wine, my family, baseball, and golf. My politics are progressive, but inclusive of all points of view that are open and inclusive.

As a writer, I like to think I bring a different, if sometimes bizarre view of the world, typically wrapped in humor. My skills have improved over the years as I have invested time in reading and learning my craft.

What makes me different as a writer is probably my mind; it’s my best friend and my antagonist. I rarely dream because I think I wear my brain out during the day: it’s seldom quiet. I love writing and my tag line is “I’ll stop writing when they pry my cold dead fingers from the keyboard”.

I think I’m probably different from other writers in a couple of areas. After all these years, I have never, ever experienced writer’s block. I write every day, be it posting to social media or working on one of my projects.

I’ve won a couple of awards for my short stories in writing association contests, and I completed the Advanced Commercial Fiction course at the University of Washington.
