Sue Robins is the author of the book Bird’s Eye View: Stories of a life lived in health care. Her book was launched at the Gathering of Kindness in Australia in November 2019. She is a Fellow with Victor Montori’s Patient Revolution movement.
She is a storytelling coach, workshop facilitator, seasoned speaker and consultant. Her writing has been published in the New York Times, Huffington Post, the Globe and Mail and the Canadian Medical Association Journal. Sue has experience in paid positions in family centred care and family engagement at two pediatric health centres in Canada.
In her health care activism work, Sue co-pilots the ReadyForMyShot.ca campaign, aimed at encouraging people with developmental disabilities to get their COVID vaccine. She is the senior partner in the health communications company called Bird Communications. She is also the mom of a young man with Down syndrome and a recent breast cancer patient. She is currently working on her new book, called Ducks in a Row: Health Care Reimagined, which will be published early 2022.
