Christoph Werner

Christoph Werner is a German novelist who was raised in the German Democratic Republic, that is, in communist East Germany. Before his retirement, he taught at various universities in East and West Germany, working in the fields of technical English, translation, and English teacher training. Among Christoph Werner's publications are a volume of short stories, memories of his life in East Germany titled "Lifting the Iron Curtain" (German edition "Mitgelaufen") and four novels (in German and English), the most recent being "Paulus Luther" (2015), which was published in the USA in 2017 titled "Shadows of My Father: The Memoirs of Martin Luther's Son". Christoph Werner lives in Weimar, Germany.
