Thomas Barnico was 15 years old in 1970, too young to be drafted but old enough to sense the domestic tremors caused by the Vietnam War. He entered Dartmouth College in 1973, the year that most American forces had returned home. He served as an assistant attorney general in Massachusetts for thirty years. He teaches law at Boston College and writes fiction and non-fiction about history, government, and law.
